- Finished thickness = .018 to .024 inch (about as thick as a guitar’s B or G string)

- Since 2004 I have provided high quality real wood veneer pickguard products to customize your acoustic or electric guitar.
GuitarWoody™ for Electric Guitar & Bass
The GuitarWoody™ is a beautiful wood veneer pickguard fabricated in a multiply design — basically a hand crafted plywood. I start with striking wood veneer as a top layer with the subsequent layers alternating white/brown/white/brown, laminated with marine epoxy (West Systems) for durability and humidity stability. When the edge is beveled, it creates a lined edge as can be seen in the photo.
In addition to beautiful wood species, I also provide excellent finish skills if you’re looking for a high gloss, mirror-like finish to really set off the grain and figure of the wood.
I also make solid wood guards from the finest wood I can find, but I’m hard pressed to find solid pieces with the level of figure I can find in wood veneer.
