ThinWood™ Fabrication 2nds- Reduced Price Because of Slight Defect
These pickguards do not meet my high quality standards for full price but are not throw aways.
Sometimes during fabrication, mishaps will occur. For example, I might drop one..oooops...and a corner might break but I know if I reshape it slightly, it is otherwise a good pickguard. It seems a shame to throw it away. But this is an issue if you are seeking an exact shape to cover a 'tan line' once your previous pickguard is removed. If you are after an exact match, it is priority to me that you get it. So full price pickguards are guaranteed to be an exact match to the template 'style' you are seeking.
But it might be possible your guitar never had a pickguard, and all in all, you like the basic shape. It may not be an exact match to the style you like but is close enough to make you happy. In my view, why not make it available to you?
Please note, that the rosette cut will always be a perfect curve to match the listed diameter because we definitely want it to look good around the lines of your rosette.
Also these are AS IS and I cannot grant refunds if you are not happy with them. I will describe the defect and include photo(s) to show the defect as best I can.
I cannot take time in email to discuss these or answer questions about them. Sorry.
These are categorized as 2nds because of a variety of reasons which will be noted in the listing and can include one or more of the following:
- Shape alterations
- Small knots or grain irregularities
- Open pores that are larger than I prefer
- Small worm holes
- Sand through, or a sanding divot making it less that perfectly flat
You should know that my quality standards are very high and I do not sell pickguards at full price unless I feel they are perfect!
You, on the other hand, may want to spend less and still get a ThinWood pickguard for your guitar.
